Petition for Re-Admissions Deadline Notice: The final date that a student can petition for re-admission to HWC to take Fall 2010 credit courses is Monday, August 2, 2010.
Has your petition for the exclude hold been approved?
If so, your status has changed from "Exclude" to "Credit Readmit." This means that you have been permitted to re-enroll at Harold Washington College; however there are certain restrictions you must follow. You can obtain a copy of your re-admission conditions, also known as a prescription letter, from the Student Services office.
All credit re-admit students are required to see a College Advisor. This should be done in the 2nd week of the semester you have been readmitted. In addition you may:
- Possibly not be allowed to register full-time
- Be required to attend a petitioner's workshop
- Be required to go to tutoring in the Learning Center in order to obtain help in certain subjects
- Be required to take the Placement Test
Re-admission conditions vary so it is important for you to:
- Petition for re-admission in Student Services
- Be aware of your prescription letter
- Adhere to the terms of your prescription letter
- Make an appointment with an Advisor to create an academic plan
Re-admitted students may often have other holds on their account. You can check your account on-line by going to http://my.ccc.edu. You may need to clear those holds before registration.
If you still have not petitioned for re-admission, you can do so in Room 201 (Student Services).
