Mission Statement:
In keeping with the institution's mission and recognizing that advising is an integral part of the educational process, the Harold Washington College (HWC) Advising Office strives to empower students to take charge of their educational and career goals through a system of shared responsibility between student and advisor.

Harold Washington College currently employs ten (13) trained full-time College Advisors and one (1) part-time College Advisor providing comprehensive registration services for current and prospective students. Our advisors aid students in clarifying educational objectives, exploring career choices, and selecting a transfer institution. Advisors assist students with problem solving, readmission, withdrawls and other academic transactions.
