Spring 2010 Loop Players "Short Suite" Theatrical Production

The Harold Washington College (HWC) Loop Players presented their Spring 2010 Theatrical Production titled "Short Suite" on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Harold Washington College campus. This event was sponsored by the Harold Washington College English, Speech and Theatre Department, and provides Harold Washington College students who aspire to be actors someday the opportunity to showcase their acting talent. Spring 2010 Commencement Ceremonies at Symphony Center

Harold Washington College (HWC) hosted their annual Spring 2010 Commencement Ceremony at Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:00am. This event marked the conclusion of studies for HWC students who earned either their Associate degrees or Certificates in their preferred area of study. President Emeritus John R. Wozniak, City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor Cheryl L. Hyman, and other dignitaries were featured speakers at this event.

Spring 2010 Harold Washington's Birthday Celebration at HWC

The Harold Washington College (HWC) Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa Student Club hosted their annual Harold Washington's Birthday for faculty, staff and students on Thursday, April 15, 2010. This event is an annual event at the campus that allows participants to come together to reflect on the life of one of our most historical and influential figures in Chicago politics, former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington. President Emeritus John R. Wozniak addressed the attendees at the event.

Spring 2010 "Psychology In The City" Conference

Harold Washington College (HWC) hosted the third annual "Psychology in the City" Conference on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Harold Washington College campus. This conference featured various social science and psychology representatives from colleges throughout the metropolitan Chicago area, covering topics such as resiliency and positive psychology, stress management, psychological disorders, psychotherapy, and careers in psychology.
